Flower Arrangement: Dried lavender crafts

Crafts made of bulk dried lavenders are timeless. The main purpose behind these crafts is to add fragrance of the dried lavender to one’s rooms and clothes. Lavender crafts like the lavender wand or the lavender bottle is very popular among the ladies. To make these out of dried lavenders is extremely simple. Lets start with the lavender bottles first.

To make a lavender bottle you will require 14 to 15 dried lavender flower stems. Tie the lavender flower stems into a bunch using thin string or a floral wire just below the flower blooms. While tying the lavender flower stems, you will have to tie one end of the string around the flowers clockwise and the other end anti-clockwise. After three or four rounds tie both the ends of the string together into a knot. Then bend the stems of the flowers upwards and over the heads of the flower. Try to get a basket like look, carrying the flower heads. Now you can tie the stems of the flower together over the flower heads. Once you have tied the stems you may cut the stems evenly and hang it in some airy place for some more drying.

Your dried lavender flower bottle is ready. You may hang them in your closets to give your clothes the delicate fragrance of the lavenders.

Apart from the lavender bottles you can also make dried lavender wands for the same purpose of imbuing the delicate fragrance of the flowers into your closets. To make a wand out of dried lavender you will need 14 dried lavender flowers stems and a ribbon of 40 inches in length. Bunch the stems together and tie it with the ribbon just below the flower heads. After tying the bunch you should have one end of the ribbon about 9 inches long and the other end about 30 inches long. The shorter length of the ribbon will have to go into the flowers. Once you do that bend all the stems upwards over the flower heads. Bend the stems like you did while making the bottle. Now start weaving the longer end of the ribbon through the stems in an easy under and over pattern. After finishing with the weaving tie the two ends of the string into a bow. Your lavender wand is ready with its magical fragrance.
